Below is a list of loyalist ancestors whose descendants’ proofs have been accepted. Our Branch keeps copies of the documentation, the originals of which are on file in the Dominion office. Much of this material relates to certification ‘proofs’ linking member applicants to their loyalist ancestors. Where applicants have sent extra documentation in preparing their certificate applications, our Branch Genealogist has retained that information in their envelopes. This material might be quite helpful to people researching specific surnames.

It should be noted that the Dominion Genealogist has tightened standards for genealogical proofs in recent years. The applications of those names that are asterisked meet current standards. For other names, either the application lacks documents or the form lacks all family members. Further research would need to be done to bring those applications up to today’s standards.
